Opposition Update: Liberal Record of Incumbent Exposed
You don’t normally associate being a Texan with also being an “unabashed liberal.” But a recent Rice University study published in the Texas Tribune found incumbent State Senator Wendy Davis to be the SECOND most liberal member of the Texas Senate and the most out-of-step voting State Senator in Texas in terms of NOT representing her district. Noting that Davis represents a “Republican-leaning district,” Rice University Professor Mark Jones (Chairman of Rice University’s political science department) described Davis as an “unabashed liberal.”
